Shahid Kapoor Calls for Unity in Indian Cinema: Embrace Bollywood Movies, Urges South Audiences

In a recent interview while promoting his upcoming action thriller film “Bloody Daddy,” which is premiering today on Jio Cinema, Shahid Kapoor emphasized the importance of not drawing lines between Indian films. He encouraged the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada audiences to explore Hindi films, stating that a broad-minded approach to accepting films is crucial for the growth of cinema as a whole.

To illustrate his point, Shahid Kapoor drew a parallel with the Indian national cricket team, highlighting the power of collaboration and working together. He believes that when everyone joins forces, they can bring more value to the table and ultimately attract a larger audience to theaters. Shahid Kapoor firmly believes that fostering a shared attitude among all filmmakers and audiences is key.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, “Bloody Daddy” follows the story of an NCB officer played by Shahid Kapoor, who is determined to save his son from the clutches of a notorious drug lord. The film promises unexpected twists and turns that ensnare the officer in a complex web of challenges.

“Bloody Daddy” is inspired by the 2011 French action thriller “Sleepless Night,” directed by Frederic Jardin. Alongside Shahid Kapoor, the film also features an impressive cast including Ronit Roy, Sanjay Kapoor, Rajeev Khandelwal, Diana Penty, and Ankur Bhatia.
