24/01/2025, Bowring Institute, Bangalore, India – NUTRICON 2025 concluded with a resounding success at the renowned Bowring Institute in Bangalore. Hosted by Ultimate You, an innovative nutraceutical brand under Mama’s Creation Private Limited, the conference brought together experts from nutrition and healthcare to explore groundbreaking advancements in the field.
The event, organized in partnership with Sagar Chandramma Hospitals and the Indian Association of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (IAPEN), highlighted emerging trends in clinical and consumer-focused nutrition. This collaboration set a benchmark for industry-wide innovation and emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between science and wellness.
The conference opened with an insightful keynote by Namratha Pramod, High-Performance Analyst at the Sports Authority of India (SAI). She explored the significance of circadian rhythms and chrononutrition in improving health outcomes. The IFPRI 2025 report revealed that 38% of Indians consume junk and processed foods, leading to disrupted eating patterns and higher risks of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. Chrononutrition emphasizes time, frequency, and regularity in eating habits to address these issues effectively.
Rinki Kumari, Senior Dietitian at Fortis Hospital, discussed the critical role of nutrition in post-surgical recovery. She highlighted how tailored approaches, such as total parenteral nutrition (TPN), significantly improve recovery outcomes in complex surgeries like Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG). Rinki also noted the rising stress levels among remote workers, emphasizing the need for nutrition-focused strategies to combat related health risks.
The spotlight shifted to Akshith Reddy, Co-founder of Ultimate You, who discussed India’s alarming nutritional deficiencies. Findings from the Journal of Nutrition reveal that over 70% of Indians suffer from vitamin D deficiency, while 53% of women are affected by iron deficiency anemia. With India’s nutraceutical market set to reach $18 billion by 2025, Akshith stressed the need for innovation to address these challenges.
He introduced Ultimate You’s product range—Ultimate Greens, Glow, Collagen, Fiber, and Daily Whey—designed to tackle specific nutritional gaps. These products, which focus on growing trends like plant-based proteins and gut health, are aimed at making nutrition simple and accessible. Research from the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health supports the importance of simplifying dietary choices for better adherence and health outcomes.
“In today’s fast-paced world, the key to better health lies in simplifying food choices. At Ultimate You, we combine cutting-edge science with traditional wisdom to deliver products that promote wellness while fitting seamlessly into everyday life,” said Akshith.
Sreemathy Venkatraman, Chief Dietitian at Trustwell Hospital, explored the role of gut health in women’s wellness, focusing on the estrobolome and its impact on hormonal balance. Backed by an NCBI report, she discussed how dietary interventions and gut health supplements can support oestrogen metabolism and enhance the gut-brain axis.
Madhumitha Krishnan, Consultant with CABHN at TDU, advocated for integrating Ayurveda into modern nutrition science. She emphasized Ayurveda’s principles of personalized nutrition, digestion (Agni), and constitution (Prakruthi) in preventing illness and promoting overall health. According to the World Health Organization, 70–80% of the global population relies on herbal remedies, highlighting Ayurveda’s global relevance in wellness strategies.
As the conference concluded, NUTRICON 2025 reaffirmed its commitment to advancing nutritional science through collaboration and innovation. The event underscored the importance of uniting diverse disciplines to promote healthier lifestyles and address global health challenges.
